Structural Editing
Also known as developmental editing, this is the big-picture stage of the process. The focus of this edit is the manuscript's overall structure. I'll be looking at the plot, the pacing, and character developments. I’ll ensure that the novel hits all of the beats that readers in the genre will be expecting. Do you have that ‘OMG I did not see that coming’ moment in your thriller? Does the 'happy ever after' in your romance novel feel well-earned and satisfying?
Line Editing
Line editing focuses on the language, flow, and tone of your manuscript. You will receive a marked-up manuscript with comments in the margins - eliminating any repetition, enhancing dialogue and clarifying any descriptions. The aim of this edit is to polish your writing without losing your unique style.
